WE ARE OPEN!!
And what an opening night it was for The Wizard of Oz at The Regal Theatre.
The clapping started in the overture and the buzz never stopped. Standing ovations, the loudest audiences, kids cheering, grown ups booing the baddies and shouting back at the stage.
After just a few weeks of rehearsals (thank you to Christie at @theproductionacademyau for loaning us your beautiful space to create!), this brilliant company hit the stage with confidence, chaos and huge heart. Fast changes, big laughs, cheeky moments and plenty of sparkle all came together in front of a packed theatre full of families ready to play along.
A huge thank you to @tomwhalleypantomimes for a script that delivers big laughs, cheeky fun and everything we love about proper panto.
To our sensational cast, band, creatives, crew and front of house thank you for leaning into the madness, trusting the process and giving Oz absolutely everything. You were bold, hilarious and gloriously panto.
